Introduction

The Delaware Division of Public Health is providing a unique opportunity for cities and towns to disseminate public health statistics about your individual community. The embeddable dashboards can be customized and then included on your city and town websites.

Currently we allow embeds from the COVID dashboard and the Drug Overdose Deaths dashboard on My Healthy Community.

The data all comes from the DDPH My Healthy Community website. You can explore the content that is available for your region through the search functionality on the site.

Instructions for using the COVID-19 embeds

To embed the overview section, we recommend using an iframe element, something like this:

The background color can be customized to match the host site by adjusting the source url like so:

In the previous example, "lightblue" may be replaced with any of the following background colors:

darkgrey
lightblue
purple
transparent
white

The location for which data is being displayed is customizable for any geography:

In the previous example, "zip-code-19711" may be replaced with any of the locations for which we have data in the My Healthy Community system. Other locations may be discovered using the "search for a location" functionality in the top left corner of the site.The location"s "slug" (the unique code used for embedding) is the last part of the URL when you are viewing the page for that location.

There are several additional embed configurations you can use to show different sets of data. For example, to show trends over time in a given location, add "trends_dashboard" to your url like so:

In addition to the default, the following embed configurations are available:

The background color can again be adjusted by adding "bg/lightblue" to the end of the URL.
